5K Fun Run

O.P. Schnabel Park, San Antonio, TX
December 3, 2022

Hummingbird's Jingle Jog 5K

Be a part of San Antonio's premier holiday run/walk at our first annual Jingle Jog 5K Fun Run at OP Schnabel Park. This year the community will come together to support patients with a terminal illness or injury. All proceeds go toward the Wings of Hope Foundation, which provides helpful services, programs, and community resources to ensure these patients are able to focus on quality of life, rather than quantity of life. We strive to provide necessary care and attention to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay or medical condition.

Bring your best holiday outfit, decked out with Santa hats, elf socks, jingle bells, and reindeer noses, and shine your brightest in this most exciting Fun Run event of the year! Take a slefie with Santa while live Christmas carolers sing your favorite holiday songs. Register today, bring your family and friends for a memorable experience!

Experience the thrill of running through the trees, starting early in the morning while the dew is still fresh on the grass. The 5K loop is flat and east to run or walk around OP Schnabel Park. As you approach the finish line, you'll run past spectators cheering you on, and a photo finishes.

*Strollers are welcomed, but please begin in the rear of the line. Time chips do not start until you pass under the starting arch. *Please leave pets at home for this event.

Children's Race

Everyone can enjoy this wonderful family activity, whether they run or walk the course. Prior to the 5K, there will be a Kinder Dash which is a 1/2 mile out and back race for ages 0-12. Be sure to cheer on the little ones as they run, skip, and hop their way to the finish line.

Grab your most festive outfits because there will be prizes for the best costumes following the race! Maybe the ugliest sweater? Perhaps the grumpiest grinch, most unique snowman, or cutest elf? We will soon find out!

Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers based on age division for  both the 5K and Kinder Dash.

After the race, be sure to visit our Vendor Fair under the pavilion. Dozens of local businesses and artisans will be showcasing their beautiful products and services for purchase. What better way to celebrate your 5K victory than browsing handmade Christmas gifts, delicious treats, and more.

*If you are a business owner or know someone who might be interested in exhibiting in the vendor fair, contact us for more details.

Without the generosity of donations and sponsors, Wings of Hope would not be able to host community events, or provide programs and services for our cause.

Sponsoring programs and events is a fantastic way to show the community that you care, and also market your brand and company.

We have a variety of sponsorship opportunities which are perfect for organizations both large and small. We would be honored to highlight your support to our participants, and the community.

Bright and early on Saturday morning, we will set out for our run/walk through OP Schnabel Park in San Antonio, Texas. Sounds of Christmas carolers and jingle bells will fill the air, along with community support and love.
